Meet your instructors

Great teachers inspire us to connect to topics on a profound level and to practice lifelong learning . Experience as a developer alone doesn’t necessarily make an effective teacher — that’s why we’re passionate about finding not only great engineers, but deeply committed and experienced teachers.

Joe Childs
Lead Instructor

2020世界杯40强赛赛程A bootcamp graduate himself, Joe made a career change to software development and consulted as a DevOps engineer and software tester. Realising his favourite part of being an engineer was helping other people understand and fix their bugs, he returned to his former bootcamp to help teach others how to code before moving on to do the same at Flatiron School.

Daniel Kaczmarczyk
Lead Instructor

Having coded since his teenage years, then running a music school, Daniel brings the joy of creativity, teaching, and programming to our students. He has experience in software development and data engineering and worked for a few tech startups before joining Flatiron School.

Sam Barker
Lead Instructor

2020世界杯40强赛赛程Sam studied game design and has been coding for 10 years. He worked in the online gambling industry making browser games for 5 years. As part of Flatiron School London’s instructor team, he’s passionate about helping curious, ambitious students throughout the city find their calling and their future.

The Access Scholarship

2020世界杯40强赛赛程The Access Scholarship opens doors for aspiring innovators who may have previously experienced barriers to an education. With our £2,500 scholarship, start learning with £0 up front.

Scholarships are available to individuals who identify as a member of one of the following groups: Women, underrepresented minorities, people with disabilities, British Armed Forces service leavers, LGBTQ+, those earning below £20,000 in London.

What the application process looks like

2020世界杯40强赛赛程Aptitude for software engineering stems from an innate curiosity about the world and how people interact with it. We don’t admit students, we craft a class: a lawyer, journalist, and pro athlete will approach solutions differently, creating a richer learning environment for everyone involved. All you need is passion and an open mind.
